GOOD FOR YOU. GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT.

Decra is committed to a more sustainable future.  Not only are we ensuring our manufacturing practises have the environment at its heart, but our products also support a cleaner, greener construction of homes worldwide.

SUSTAINABILITY

CERTIFIED GREEN

We are proud to be New Zealand’s first roofing manufacturer to be awarded ISO 14001 environmental certification.  Our manufacturing processes are continually refined to reduce waste and create efficiencies, reducing our environmental impact.

A SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION

Decra’s pressed steel tiles are the ideal solution to reducing the environmental impact of roof construction.  The lightweight, compact design means not only is less framing support required than traditional concrete tiles, the transportation emissions of transporting Decra tiles to site is significantly lower.

Furthermore, water collected from a Decra roof is not tainted by the roof coatings and is safe for drinking* and other household purposes.  In fact, it goes above and beyond World Health Organisation drinking water standards.

And best of all, steel can be recycled indefinitely without losing any of its qualities.  So a retired Decra roof doesn’t need to end up in landfill – it can simply be re-worked into another steel product.

SUPPORTING THE FUTURE

Decra’s roofs can help support your application for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.  This certification is the world’s most widely used green building rating system and is a framework for healthy, highly efficient green buildings which offer environmental, social and governance benefits.
